Can I Work Out After Botox? And 6 Other Post-Treatment Questions Answered

You just had your treatment — now what? Patients often have a million post-Botox questions. Here are the most common, answered by our concierge providers.

Q: Can I work out after Botox?

A: Wait 24 hours. Movement can shift the product before it settles. That means no workouts, hot yoga, or intense sweating.

Q: Can I lie down?

A: Avoid lying flat for 4 hours post-treatment. You don’t need to stay upright the whole time — just don’t nap right away.

Q: Can I drink alcohol?

A: We recommend avoiding alcohol for 24 hours. It can increase bruising.

Q: Can I get a facial or massage?

A: Wait at least 48 hours before any facial, massage, or treatment that involves pressure on your face or neck.

Q: Can I wear makeup?

A: Yes — but apply it gently. Don’t rub or press on treated areas.

Q: When will I see results?

A: Expect initial changes around day 3, with full results by day 14.
